As a Portfolio Analyst at Longhurst Group, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on the performance of our residential real estate portfolio. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in optimising the performance and value of our assets, ensuring the best outcomes for our stakeholders. Further key responsibilities are listed below:

 

  • Produce Asset Appraisals by collating data from across the business and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders throughout the Asset Appraisal process to collect qualitative as well as quantitative data.
  • Provide insightful analysis of property performance and make recommendations for optimising outcomes.
  • Analyse the performance of our assets and explore opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse cost trends per unit and benchmark to understand their impact on delivery expectations and long-term investment plans.
  • Support the Head of Environment & Sustainability in producing timely management information, portfolio performance reports, KPIs, delivery plans, cost monitoring, forecasted spend, and volume completions.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data in our team's systems.
  • Lead any required systems/data changes.
  • Support the team with larger Scheme Appraisals aimed at regeneration to provide better homes for our customers.

 

Our Portfolio Analyst opportunity is a hybrid position, contracted to 36.25 hours per week. To us, this means some time working from home with an expectation of some presence in either our Rushden, Peterborough or Boston office on a weekly basis (we are open to discussion around how this is built into working weeks). A large portion of our Asset Investment team are hybrid workers across our geography too.

In order to be successful in application for our Portfolio Analyst role, you’ll need to be detail orientated with a level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting, so having previous experience in Excel would be helpful. Being an analytical thinker, with the ability to analyse complex data and draw out key points is crucial. It would be helpful to have transferable experience in data analysis, investment research, asset management or project management role, although if you are eager to develop your skills & knowledge, we offer a supportive and inclusive working environment that values your contributions, along with access to ongoing professional development opportunities, ensuring your skills remain at the cutting edge of the industry.
